LEARN MORE ABOUT THE PRACTICE AREAS OF DMGZ » BANKRUPTCY & FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

We have experienced attorneys with the experience required to handle creditor interests in loan workouts, bankruptcy or reorganization projects of any size. Bankruptcy is often a difficult process for creditors who find the normal rules of business suspended by the automatic stay and the appointment of a trustee. Our job is to work with our client, the debtor, other creditors, the trustee and the court to protect the interests of our clients throughout the liquidation or reorganization process.
We handle all aspects of financial disputes and difficulties, both in and out of court from a creditor’s perspective. Our practice areas range from sophisticated out of court loan workouts and restructuring to routine collections and include, but are not limited to involuntary and voluntary bankruptcy petitions; administrative, priority, secured and unsecured claims, dispute resolution; conversion of chapter 11 or chapter 13 cases to chapter 7, lifting the automatic stay, assignment of executory contracts or unexpired leases, sale/purchase of estate assets, adversary proceedings involving contract or claim disputes, preference payments, fraudulent transfers and non-dischargeability suits.
DMGZ’s bankruptcy practice primarily includes creditor representation in the Alaska bankruptcy courts located in Anchorage, Fairbanks and Southeastern Alaska. We also represent our clients’ interests in bankruptcy courts located in Washington, California and the western U.S.
