Our firm Administrator has over 35 years of experience at DMGZ and its predecessors and oversees the daily operations of our office. Our professional staff includes our Accounting Supervisor, Legal Assistants, Records Coordinator/Administrative Assistants, Receptionist/Administrative Assistant, and Information Technology Specialist.

Throughout its history, DMGZ has made it a priority to align with technology and advancements that assist us in providing the most responsive legal services in Alaska and nationwide. The firm stays current with legal technology trends by several means, including our more than-20-year membership in the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA). We believe that using state-of-the-art technology levels the playing field for firms of our size in terms of ability to properly handle any matter, no matter how complex.

Our attorneys utilize mobile devices for easy remote access to email and client information. We employ a digital dictation system which makes the processing of work highly efficient. Though not many firms of our size keep up, for over a decade our firm has utilized many modules of the Elite Enterprise software systems: an automated calendar and docketing system integrated with Outlook, time, billing (including electronic) and its accounting system. Additionally, our Document Management System (DMS) allows easy access to current work by all collaborators and also serves as an excellent work product retrieval tool. Our voluminous emails are easily profiled into this matter-centric system, along with internal and external documents for quick reference and retrieval.

Our IT Specialist has more than 20 years of experience in legal information technology, which allows for comfort with and ease of handling electronically stored information in house or when working with third parties. Within the area of civil litigation the firm has utilized computerized litigation support software for many years. Our state-of-the-art system allows us to effectively organize, index and summarize voluminous documentation for easy retrieval of documents used in discovery and trial preparation.

Our commercial practice group makes frequent use of resources available on various Internet sites, i.e., State of Alaska, Division of Banking and Securities; Division of Corporations, Business and Professional Licensing; Regulatory Commission of Alaska, Department of Natural Resources, Division of Occupational Licensing and Real Estate Commission, as well as the U.S. Bankruptcy Court's PACER system for filing and serving pleadings electronically, accessing dockets, pleadings, matrixes, etc.
